Contra La Ley Sweatshirt

This design is my best attempt to recreate the print on votive candle I found driving through Twentynine Palms. Blue on white as a nod to the original design.

Hand-pulled eco-friendly water-based ink on white Tultex sweatshirts.

All profits from the sale of these will go towards The Bail Project (@bailproject on Instagram). The Bail Project raises money to get people out of jail who are stuck there because they can't pay bail.

I don't know who the original artist is. I tried to find a credit somewhere on the internet but had no luck. I have to stress that there is a complex culture around veladoras that I am not trying to appropriate as my own or profit off of. My intention is just to give a cool design a second life in service of a good cause. I also have to give credit to Hana Matsushita, whose idea it was originally to put this design on a shirt.
